Star drive online is a massively multiplayer strategy game. The player controls a base that generates income and a ship that is used to extract tribute. Unlike many massively multiplayer games, Star drive online is both persistent and episodic. Your base is always online, always generating income, and always vunerable. But your attacks on other player's bases happen only when you have generated enough fuel. This changes the game fundamentally. Now the best players aren't the ones with the most time, but the ones with the best strategy.

The game contains a built in tutorial that will explain how to construct and improve your base, upgrading your ship and it's components, and the basics of combat. The goal of Star drive online is to be fun, interesting and light. Playing doesn't require more then a few minutes a day and it's a great break during lunch, before you head off to classes or after you've put the kids to bed.
